Welcome to Mapplewell Primary School, a place that I am very proud to support in my role as Executive Headteacher. Our school is a happy, vibrant school where pupils are provided with opportunities to develop the skills and knowledge they require to become life long learners and leave us ready for their next stage in education.

I believe that by providing our pupils with a motivating, happy and safe place to be they will achieve to their highest ability and that by providing an engaging curriculum we can foster a passion for learning that will inspire high aspirations for all. I make no excuses for having high expectations of both our staff and pupils and encourage a growth mindset in all.

I am beyond proud to be a part of Mapplewell Primary School  as Head of School.

I have been part of this wonderful community for many years now, and cannot believe how the school has moved from strength to strength over that time. It is a privilege to work with this brilliant staff team and with the amazing parents to continue to make Mapplewell Primary School even better for future pupils!

As a school, we are also incredibly proud of how we continue to expand our wider offer for all pupils. This includes a growing range of exciting educational trips and a broad selection of after-school clubs that allow children to explore new interests and develop their talents. Our sports provision has been strengthened through increased opportunities to take part in external fixtures, as well as the introduction of intra-mural competitions within school, ensuring every child has the chance to participate and succeed. Alongside this, we have created more opportunities for pupils to experience music and the arts, with a clear focus on widening access to performance so that children can build confidence and showcase their skills on stage as they progress through the year groups.

We have worked tirelessly to make improvements to ensure that Mapplewell Primary School achieves academic excellence, but to give pupils a vast array of experiences to prepare them for the next step in their education and beyond.
